原料內容
主料為丹皮、加減為山奈、白豆蔻、椨皮汁液黏著。

香品知識
源起牡丹的意象,透過焚香的氤氳自然,帶來無病息災、繁榮昌盛的期許。

主要取材自牡丹的根皮入香,是芍藥屬,學名「Paeonia」,藥用名為「丹皮」,是一味清熱涼血的香方,自古用於宜禮佛、薰香、淨化、靜坐、祭祀等等,可謂古人解毒養心的日用香。
再者取材自「山奈」或「白豆蔻」,以為加減方,訴求脾胃等等康健順暢,達於實用的清淨除臭。

事實上、牡丹為根皮入香;「牡丹皮為毛茛科植物牡丹的根皮」。選擇生長三到五年的牡丹,於秋季或春季採挖,洗淨泥土,除去鬚根和莖苗,剖取根皮,曬乾即可入藥,這種稱為「原丹皮」,刮去外皮後再曬乾的稱為「刮丹皮」。訴求牡丹為根皮入香調和,也有抒壓助眠之用,其藥用名稱叫丹皮,是一味清熱涼血香方。

總體上、白牡丹香,其味微苦澀,稍有麻舌感受。由於牡丹皮有特殊氣味,亦具有驅蟲作用,可和其他藥材一起貯存而達防蟲效果,用於除臭等等,值得日用無礙,故作此香。
